KES MARO
Wolves
Lowell, MA
The last wild wolf in Ireland was killed in 1786. There is a pattern of Western colonial projects eradicating predators in an ecosystem. This recent series explores the reality of something too wild to survive conquering and attempts to give the wolf honest dignity in all its bloody glory. With the wolfhound, the series begins to explore the nature of cyclical violence and how often, we perpetuate it against our own interests.
